We Are Moving! 
Starting Monday, April 1st Yoga W/ Marca classes with Marca & Jill will be held at Rae Yoga Studio, 101 East Main St. Mount Horeb (in the Hoff Mall).  
Jill's Classes & Marca's Classes
Starting on April 1st, Jill will be working independently from Marca. Passes purchased for Jill's classes will be separate from passes purchased for Marca's classes. Passes carried over from before 4/1 will be honored at either teacher's classes until they are fulfilled. 
MindBody Software Elimination Mindbody software will be eliminated within the next 30 days. Starting 4/1, purchases will be made with cash or check (no more credit cards).  Your account information, including your current pass status (i.e. classes remaining, expiration date) can be accessed for the next 30 days. Going forward, classes will be signed into in a log book and passes will be tracked with a punchcard system. 
Limited Class Sizes
We've been spoiled for several years with the amount of studio space we've had at Gonstead (2,500 sq ft)! Rae Yoga Studio holds 15-20 mat spaces comfortably. Traditionally larger classes, like Monday and Friday 8-9 am Level I-Cont. classes will have a chance to pre-book in the new sign-in log book for future classes to reserve their space weeks in advance. Please note that pre-booking, unless canceled in advance by phone or email, will obligate you to pay for the class regardless of your actual attendance.
Existing PassesAll current pass holders will have their passes honored through their expiration date. If there are unexpected class changes that affect your ability to fulfill your pass by its expiration, an extension on the original expiration date will be granted. Passes are non-refundable. If you find that a schedule revision precludes your ability to use your pass, you do have the option to transfer it (sell it or gift it) to another person who can use it. 
 Future Pass SalesStarting April 1st, 2019: 
The sale of 30-day unlimited passes will be discontinued
Other rate options will remain the same with expiration dates opened up to 12 month terms.
$16 Drop-in, $75 5-Class Pass, $140 10-Class Pass
Passes will be sold separately for Marca and/or Jill's classes

Level I - II:   Wednesday 815-930 am & Sunday 4-515 pm w/ Marca
Restorative & Guided Meditation:  Monday 5:30-7 pm w/ Marca


Please know that the schedule is subject to change on an as-needed basis. For this reason, 30-day unlimited passes have been eliminated and pass terms have been extended to 12-month terms. 
Parking
There is no designated parking for Rae Yoga Studio. Street parking may be limited. Please allow enough time before class to park.

The Yoga W/ Marca Difference

At Yoga W/ Marca, we teach in the Iyengar Yoga tradition exemplifying the art and science of yoga which includes many therapeutic applications with a  creative and strategic use of yoga props to allow any body to safely experience the benefits of the poses. We are one of only two Iyengar Yoga studios in Dane County, Wisconsin. Outlined below are key markers of the Iyengar method and what sets us apart from most other studios. 

PRECISION - adjustment and instructions are extremely precise and personalized for each student to accommodate for any injuries or limitations a student may possess

SETTING - a person seeking Iyengar Yoga may find a general class, a minor ailments group class, a therapy class taught by a senior teacher for more advanced ailments, or private individual sessions

SEQUENCING - poses are sequenced with purposeful intent

PROPS - props used in Iyengar Yoga allow any student with any background to receive the full health benefits of the poses

TIMING - students are instructed to hold poses at intervals best suited for the student’s capacity; timings are outlined in a goal-oriented manner and vary between active and restorative poses

TRAINING - Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers train for years (not just hours) for their initial certification and continue their education for the rest of their teaching careers.  

THERAPEUTIC - Iyengar yoga is becoming the leading style of yoga for working with small ailments.  Medical research has shown that Iyengar yoga is effective at improving: Musculoskeletal pain (including back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles), Mobility, Strength, Depressive symptoms, Mood, Physical function, Body image, Balance, Anxiety, Dysmenorrhea, Urinary incontinence, & Gastrointestinal disorders.
